THE FIRST ISSUE FROM BAHAMAS

The first card issued in Bahamas is often reported, in catalogues, or in Internet sites, with a variant, naming them 1 and 1A, without explaining the real difference.

Apparently they seem to be exactly the same card: same print, same chip...so, where is the difference? We discovered that infact the total printing of 25,000 cards has been made in two different moments: as they were numbered by handwriting, the real first issue had a mintage of just 5,000 cards, numbered from 0001 to 5000, while the reprint is numbered from 5001 to 25000.
