The phonecard introduced here is really a rarity. It was issued some years ago on the occasion of the Italian Military Operation named Ibis, when just a single satellitar phone was installed in order to permit communications exclusively between Somalia and Italy: the phone was operative just for a very short period, and most of the few cards supplied were obviously thrown away. The card was a simple white cardboard printed in black, and it was personal for each soldiers, with hand-written personal code for each of them. It's quite difficult to give a value to this card, but certainly very few of them exist. |
